Funeral Contacts and Information
In the first instance if your loved one passed away at home you should contact their doctor or the doctor on call if it is out of working hours to certify the death. Should this happen in a nursing home or hospital this would be completed on your behalf.
If your loved one passes away suddenly and hasn’t been seen by their doctor within the last 14 days the coroner will need to investigate to confirm the cause of the death.
Once you have received the cause of death certificate (either from the deceased doctors surgery or the hospital bereavement centre) you can then register the death at your local registrars. In the mean time you can liaise with us at TLC funeral services to start the preparations for the funeral.
As mobile funeral directors we offer the services of coming to you in your own home, we do however have our own premises should you wish to come to us instead to complete the funeral arrangements.
Should you wish to spend time with your loved one before the funeral, this can be arranged with Tara.

The cost of a death certificates is £11, this is the cost for one. The registrar will guide you through how many copies you may need.
